Red Devils and Stampede.

Hopefully the Stampede vs Thunder game is as close as the recent one was.

Devils to win both against admirals.

I'm picking Thunder to get at least a point from one of their games.

I have edited the poll so now you can pick 2 options.
I also changed it so those of you that have already voted can pick a second

I want split voting.

But in its absence, I chose to interpret it as "first games of the weekend". Nobody cares about Sunday anyway.

Poor Admirals, no one thinks they will get anywhere! I hope they can pull through an upset, if they have improved as the thunder have improved then this is going to be one hell of a year in the NZIHL

Admirals will be better I think.  One of the goalies will need to step up and take over for Parsons.  The imports are unknown to us SI folk as well.  Taking on the Devils first weekend is a good test for them.

any one brave enough to predict a score for the saturday nights games?

seems that opinion is divided on how well the southern local derby will go or is the best bet a draw at the end of regulation time?

I'm going to say Stampede will take the first 5-3, second will be another 4-4 tie.

Admirals to get a couple of moderate thumpings.

Dont know anything about the new thunder imports that are to arrive but stampede might still be a bit stronger. A hard one to call but Im hoping a much stronger thunder will deliver this year. One game each and who knows what score? both games under 6 per team

Loving the support from the club president... anywho, its always good to be the underdogs. though i doubt thunder will be taken lightly this year. Thunder both games

Actually 4-4 isn't possible anymore, so I'm going to say Thunder to get the extra point early in overtime.
